An article in the Detroit News refers to 15 intelligence agencies. I had no idea there were so many. I've tracked down the bill I believe the article discusses (HR 5050, I believe, and see also HR 4140) and there are 12 listed:
- CIA
- DIA
- NSA
- NRO
- National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency [say what??]
- Homeland Security
- FBI
- State Department (Intelligence and Research)
- Department of Energy (Intelligence)
- Department of Energy (Counter-Intelligence)
- Treasury Department (Intelligence)
- any other
I wish I knew what the 'any other' referred to or how the Detroit News came up with 15.
