Director of National Intelligence

An article in the Detroit News refers to 15 intelligence agencies. I had no idea there were so many. I've tracked down the bill I believe the article discusses (HR 5050, I believe, and see also HR 4140) and there are 12 listed:

  1. CIA
  2. DIA
  3. NSA
  4. NRO
  5. National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency [say what??]
  6. Homeland Security
  7. FBI
  8. State Department (Intelligence and Research)
  9. Department of Energy (Intelligence)
  10. Department of Energy (Counter-Intelligence)
  11. Treasury Department (Intelligence)
  12. any other

I wish I knew what the 'any other' referred to or how the Detroit News came up with 15.
